$6.8 Million Donated By Hyundai Hope On Wheels

After a month long of dedicated work Hyundai Hope on Wheels has donated $6.8 million to non-profit organizations and hospitals all across the country to support the research for the cure of children’s cancer and improve the lives of children with cancer.

Hope on Wheels began twelve years ago and is supported by all 800 Hyundai dealers across the nation, including Edmond Hyundai and Hyundai Motor America. Hope on Wheels is an organization dedicated to raising the awareness of children’s cancer along with raising money for the research and cure.

Hope on wheels created a national campaign, in-dealership communications and visited over 68 hospitals and non-profit organizations around the nation presenting $100,000 Hope Grants. Hope on wheels visited with Hyundai Motor America executives, doctors, nurses, teachers, social workers, child life specialists, counselors and other professionals dedicated to fighting childhood cancer.

“The stories we heard this September from parents and children remind us that we have made great strides in the treatment of childhood cancer, but that there is still much work to be done,” said John Krafcik, CEO of Hyundai Motor America.  ”We share their hope, determination and commitment, and promise to continue our work until we’ve found a cure together.”

By the end of this year, Hope on Wheels will have donated $23 million dollars to children’s hospitals and organizations across the country since its founding in 1998.
