Recently Autoblog poised a great question… Which automaker do you think is the most American? Well according to statics, by next year, 80% of Hyundai vehicles sold will be built here in the United States.

Most likely the percentage will push Hyundai up to the top of the “Made in the USA” spot with Ford, Chrysler and General Motors following. Although Chrysler and Ford don’t have exact figures, estimates will put them below Hyundai for the 2011 year. General Motors says 60-70 percent of vehicles sold in the U.S. are built here.

All the figures calculated are based on final assembly manufactured in the United States. Hyundai does final assembly on 80 percent of its models right here in the United States.

We, here at Edmond Hyundai, say that Hyundai is the most American already, but, based on statistics, we can wait until next year. What do you think?
