Hyundai Commended For Green Vehicle Lineup

Edmond Hyundai is proud of the Hyundai brand and vehicles for their effort in the development of greener, more economical vehicles.

“Hyundai’s fleet saw dramatic efficiency improvements, pushing the company into a title contender spot,” said Jim Kliesch, a senior engineer in UCS’s Clean Vehicles Program and the author of the rankings report.

The Union of Concerned Scientist’s “Automaker Rankings” is based on how each automaker’s fleet of vehicles produce smog pollution and global warming emissions on an average per-mile ratio. USC ranks the top eight automakers against the industry average.

This year, Honda won the title with an overall score of 86 with Hyundai and Toyota tied following with scores of 87. Although Hyundai did not win the title spot, we are still proud of our company and our fleet of vehicles. Next year, make no mistake; Hyundai will be the one to watch out for.
